Piercing The Clouds

2008
Installation view, Stainless steel, video and lambda print photographs
Tin Sheds Gallery, Sydney, Australia

In the exhibition Piercing the Clouds I included video projections, 3D rendered photographic works and futuristic stainless steel sculptural constructions. Creating complex geometric sculptures, I transformed the gallery into a built environment that challenges future housing problems and overpopulation of cities. This work inverted our sense of gravity and spatial harmony. The possibility of moving cities from the earth’s surface into the air was a central focus of this project and it was positioned comfortably within the conceptual and intellectual environment of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning,The University of Sydney.
