I Wish I Were What I Was, When I Wished I Were What I Am, 2004, 12x5x1’(366x152x30cm), glazed stoneware
Waikato Art Award, Waikato Museum, Hamilton, NZ
I Wish I Were What I Was, When I Wished I Were What I Am. This is another continuation of my self-portrait project. In this work I repeat my self-portrait busts as many times as necessary to disappear. The bust style portrait and white glaze draws connection to classicist style marble portraiture.
