Pavilion Structure

2013

9x11x11 m, recycled timber, Sculpture On The Gulf 2013, Waiheke Island, NZ

Pavilion Structure was a structure made out of 11 tons of recycled timber. As the title suggests it explored a theme of an architectural pavilion, it resembled a large scale sculpture, but was offering a shelter where one could have a swing, sat within or walk through.

Pavilion structure highlighted the way the wood is allocated value in an environment that takes head of carbon emission mitigation.

This project won SOTG 2013 Premier as well as People’s Choice awards.
