Steel life Planet

2003

Steel life Planet, 2003, 10x7x7’ (305x213x213cm), cast glass and steel
Sarjeant Gallery, Whanganui, NZ

Steel Life Planet is a model of a post apocalyptic globe or planet made out of cast glass and steel assembled in the tradition of stained glass. The shapes of the glass and steel components loosely resemble planet earth’s division of sea and land.  This globe also rotates and invites interactive participation from the viewer.

The work was produced during a Tylee Cottage Residency and is now permanently displayed in a private collection in Auckland.
